    Hi Mirium!

Will you please make a recipe for CHAPATI MAJI? I know the basics but for some reason mine come out more like Crepes and not Chapati Maji, they’re too thin and seem to be missing something…

    Thank You!!!

    • Fransiska on December 25, 2011 at 3:20 pm

Ohh and Merry Christmas to you! :)

    • Miriam Rose Kinunda on December 26, 2011 at 3:30 pm

      Fransiska,

      Thanks, welcome again.

I like the use of video to instruct, but for those of us in Tanzania and other African countries, it would be good to have the traditional text as well. We pay for the internet by the byte – and we pay a lot – so I’m not ready to watch almost ten minutes for just one video.

Just a thought. As always, it’s still a top site.

    • Miriam Rose on October 26, 2011 at 11:32 am

I will give that a great thought Peter. It is not easy, people asked for video for a long time, now a few want text again.

I will start to post both, all I want is my viewers to be happy.

      Thanks again and visit again

      Mingi love

How exciting to have found your website. Each summer my children and I pick a country to learn about and we chose Tanzania this year. In addition to learning about the people, animals and land, we like to prepare a traditional meal. I am excited to try your recipes soon!

Hey, what a fantastic site. It is great to have a place with Tanzanian recipes, so that I can make the food when I leave Africa.

Just wondering weather it is possible to give us a recipe on ginger tea? I love that tea, but it’s not the same when you buy it in the shops or markets.

    Thank you

    • Miriam Rose on April 9, 2011 at 1:46 pm

      You are right Ayla,
Nice to know someone likes ginger tea as I do. Healthy and caffeine free.
I have that recipe here. Its is just a few lines. I think i have a photo too. Let me see then i can post it.

I agree. I am an American woman and my husband would be so happy if I can learn to make more of his favorite foods and vitumbua is one of them.
